My work is a record of my inner reflections, an attempt to turn my streams of consciousness tangible. Created through use of scale, color, value, and text, an environment is made that has adjusting moods. I am interested in duality, and I interweave a push-pull dynamic throughout my work. Although disconnected and fleeting, the moments collectively create a narrative where an action and reaction is taking place.

The backdrops in my animation are a combination of personal photographs and scanned trace monotypes. Each background frame was then drawn on directly with my finger using an iPhone. Layered like memories, distorted and disproportionate figures frequent the spaces. They are in the act of either collecting or expelling, making the environments their own to exist and move in.
