Memory and change drive my work. The walk from my elementary school, through the Wadsworth Mansion grounds, to Wadsworth Falls State Park alone spans both my own lifetime and historical memory. My hometown is a place which holds tightly to its history and its curiosities, yet change cannot be prevented. By freezing these things in time, I desire not only to keep them from disappearing but also to understand them, as well as my fascination with them. It is my hope that this work will help me better understand why some things remain while others disappear.
